As a Matrimonial and Family law attorney with 30 years of experience, Joy E. Jorgensen has
represented clients in every aspect of family law and divorce cases, in both Nassau and

Joy E. Jorgensen graduated from Smith College in 1981 and from Hofstra University School of Law in 1984. After practicing in Texas for a time, she returned to Long Island in 1987 and was associated with the Nassau County firm previously called Capetola & Doddato. Thereafter she worked for Lynne Adair Kramer for several years. In 1998 Joy opened her own firm in Babylon,NY where she has practiced in the areas of matrimonial and family law ever since.
A member of both the Nassau County and Suffolk County Bar Associations, Joy E. Jorgensen has been an active member of the Matrimonial committee, the Family Court committee, the Grievance committee (past chair Suffolk) and the Fee Dispute Resolution committee (past chair Suffolk). She also is a long standing member of the Suffolk County Woman's Bar Association, Matrimonial Bar Association of Suffolk County and serves on the Fee Dispute Resolution panel. Ms. Jorgensen also serves as an Attorney for Children and frequently is appointed by the Courts to represent children in contested custody matters.

Jennifer Rae Diaz is a matrimonial attorney with more than seventeen (17) years of legal experience. She has represented numerous clients, in both Family Court and Supreme Court,in reaching agreements regarding divorce, custody, spousal support and child support. Ms. Diaz graduated from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York with a B.S. in Business Management in 1995. In 1998, she graduated from Touro College with a Juris Doctorate. Ms. Diaz was admitted and certiﬁed to practice as an attorney in the State of New York in January, 1999.
After graduating from law school, she was with the firm of Crecca & Blair from September 1998 through March 2002. In March ,2002, Ms. Diaz became an associate attorney at the ﬁrm of Tabat, Cohen & Blum, where she continued to work until February 2005. Ms. Diaz has been of counsel to the Law Ofﬁce of Joy E. J orgensen since February of 2005. In addition to being experienced matrimonial attorney, Ms. Diaz is actively involved in non-for proﬁt organizations in Suffolk County.
